چکیده
The genetic diversity of natural populations is a key factor in the success long-term ecosystem protection. We studied and spatial structure (SGS) three endangered shrub birch (Betula humilis) using seven nuclear microsatellite loci. highest variation was found restored Szuszalewo population Biebrza National Park, where active prevention thicket forest succession recently conducted. results bottleneck tests were not statistically significant each locality, although indication for reduction detected Rospuda stand, which actively protected. Bayesian clustering, principal coordinates analysis, FST estimates revealed greatest difference between Magdzie Bagno samples. SGS all B. humilis stands; however, it strongest pollen seed dispersal limited by dense clusters ramets scattered among brushwood plants. weakest SGS, also supported finding some sibling pairs distant locations, observed population. aforementioned indicate that protection practices may impose an immediate beneficial effect on restoration maintenance populations.

in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...
Genetic diversity and structure of an endangered desert shrub and the implications for conservation
Population genetic information can provide valuable insight for the conservation and management of threatened and endangered plant species. Tamarix taklamakanensis is an endangered shrub endemic to arid basins of northwestern China. This species serves to stabilize soils in this region, but has seen substantial loss in its abundance due to depletion of ground water. The populations of this spec...

The endangered marsh herb, Caldesia grandis, is native to China. We investigated the spatial structure of the genetic variation of three populations of C. grandis using RAPD markers and spatial autocorrelation analysis, based on the method of equal distance interval. A total of 157 individuals were sampled from four patches collected from the region of Hunan and Yunnan Provinces, China. A...

Objective(s):From the ancient era, emergence of Agriculture in the connecting region of Mesopotamia and the Iranian plateau at the foothills of the Zagros Mountains, made Iranian gene pool as an important source of populating the region. It has differentiated the population spread and different language groups. In order to trace the maternal genetic affinity between Iranians and other populatio...
متن کاملFine-scale spatial genetic structure within continuous and fragmented populations of Trillium camschatcense.
Spatial genetic structure (SGS) within populations was analyzed for the ling-lived understory perennial herb Trillium camschatcense using allozyme loci. We used Sp statistics to compare SGS between 2 life-history stages, juveniles (J) and reproductives (R), as well as between 2 populations, continuous and fragmented, with different habitat conditions. In the continuous population, significant S...
